Honestly, the location is probably the hotel’s biggest win. The Meatpacking District is literally around the corner (great for dinner), and you can walk to Tivoli Gardens in about ten minutes. What I really love is that couples seem to absolutely adore this area — they’ve rated the location 9.4, which honestly makes sense when you’re strolling these tree-lined streets in the evening.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want from a Danish hotel — clean lines, thoughtful design, nothing unnecessary but everything you actually need. The beds are proper comfortable (not just hotel-comfortable), and there’s enough space to actually unpack without feeling cramped. You know what I appreciated? The lighting — they’ve got it figured out so you’re not squinting to read or sitting in some harsh overhead glare. The windows offer pleasant views of the neighborhood, and the overall atmosphere feels both modern and inviting.

The breakfast setup here is solid — they do both continental and buffet options, which gives you flexibility depending on whether you’re rushing out to catch a morning train or planning to linger. The buffet has all the Danish classics you’d hope for, plus enough international options that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. I actually found myself looking forward to it, which doesn’t always happen at hotels. The quality of ingredients is noticeably fresh, and the staff keeps everything well-stocked throughout the morning service.

  The Absalon is really well-situated – just five minutes to Copenhagen’s Central Rail station and within easy walking distance of the trendy meatpacking district and lively Vesterbrogade. The staff are all so lovely and while the rooms are small, they are very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is decent.
