CPH Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to CPH Hotel on Tietgensgade, you immediately get that “this feels right” vibe. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try too hard — just solid, comfortable, and honestly pretty stylish for what you’re paying. The building itself has that classic Copenhagen charm, and you can tell right away that someone actually cares about this place. I mean, the entrance alone tells you they’ve put thought into the details without going overboard.
The Vesterbro Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Vesterbro — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but you’re not drowning in tourist crowds. The hotel sits perfectly positioned where you can walk to the city center in about fifteen minutes, or just wander around the neighborhood and discover those little cafes and vintage shops that locals actually frequent. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 9.0, which honestly makes sense), because there’s something romantic about strolling these tree-lined streets in the evening. You know what’s great? You can grab groceries at the nearby Netto if you want snacks, or hit up some of the best restaurants in the city within a few blocks.
Your Room and Comfort
The room I stayed in was exactly what I hoped for — clean, well-designed, and surprisingly quiet considering you’re in the heart of the city. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given at this price point), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What struck me was how they’ve managed to make everything feel modern without losing that Danish design sensibility. The bathroom was compact but functional, and honestly, the shower pressure was better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is the kind of spread that gets you excited to wake up — they do both continental and buffet style, so whether you want something light or you’re planning to fuel up for a day of walking around Copenhagen, you’re covered. The coffee is actually good (not that watery hotel stuff), and they have fresh pastries that taste like they came from a proper Danish bakery. I appreciated that they had both local specialties and international options, so picky eaters won’t feel left out. Plus, the breakfast area has this nice, relaxed atmosphere where you can actually plan your day without feeling rushed.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets CPH Hotel apart is that perfect balance of location, comfort, and value that’s surprisingly hard to find. The fact that recent guests rated the location 9.1 isn’t just numbers — it reflects how this place genuinely makes exploring Copenhagen easier and more enjoyable. There’s parking available if you’re driving (which is actually a big deal in this part of the city), but honestly, you probably won’t need your car much once you’re here. The staff seems to understand that travelers want helpful information without being overwhelmed, and the whole place just has this welcoming, unpretentious vibe that makes you want to come back.

Reviews of CPH Hotel
Olha from Ukraine – 15 April 2025 (7/10)
I haven’t enough shelves to place my stuff. The mattresses and pillows are really cheap and uncomfortable. But anyway, I would say it was rather pleasant stay.
Gudny from Iceland – 13 April 2025 (9/10)
I liked it all, nice surroundings
What could be improved: We could hear the trains in the late evening and early mornings, but that could be expected because of the location of the hótel.Catalin from Romania – 11 April 2025 (9/10)
Good position, lots of facilities at Dgi Buyen, from swimming pool to ping pong table
Breakfast is good, good quality food

Pleasant decor. Free hot drinks. Games
What could be improved: The bathroom could have been a little cleaner perhaps. It looked a touch tiredViktar from Belarus – 29 March 2025 (9/10)
Location is fantastic, breakfast is wonderful and delicious, and free tea/coffee 24/7 in the lobby made our days. Thank you
Christopher from United States – 29 March 2025 (8/10)
The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a 5 minute walk to a Metro station and maybe 10 minutes to the main train station. Honestly you can walk to the main part of the city in 20 minutes if you prefer not to use the metro. The surrounding neighborhood has numerous restaurants including some that are relatively reasonably priced.
The breakfast is very good and the hotel is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel offers lots to do like board games, table tennis, etc. The pool would be excellent for younger children.
What could be improved: The pool here is not what you expect. It is in an attached building run by a separate "pool club." You pay a small fee (25 DKK) to the hotel for a wristband to access it. While it is a fantastic pool with a child area, lap pool, "fun" pool and diving pool, it's a sports facility not a relaxing hotel pool. There are no chairs to sit on, numerous rules about what you can bring in, the sauna costs extra, etc. If you want to swim for exercise or have children under 10 it is great.Leslie from United States – 26 March 2025 (9/10)
The breakfast was well laid out with lots of options.
Grace from United Kingdom – 20 March 2025 (8/10)
Clean with facilities you can utilize if you’re not going out. Walking distance to the main train station and places where you can enjoy and appreciate Copenhagen.
What could be improved: Nothing to say
