Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden feels like stepping into a Danish design magazine — but one where you can actually touch everything. This five-star boutique hotel sits on a quiet street in Copenhagen, and honestly, the moment you see that elegant facade, you know you’re in for something special. The lobby has this warm, organic luxury vibe that’s distinctly Scandinavian — think natural materials, muted colors, and lighting that somehow makes everyone look better.
The Vesterbro Advantage
You know what I love about this location? It’s on Gyldenløvesgade, which puts you right in the heart of trendy Vesterbro without the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re a five-minute walk from the Meatpacking District (Kødbyen) where some of Copenhagen’s best restaurants hide in converted warehouses. The couples who stay here absolutely get it — there’s something romantic about wandering these tree-lined streets, especially in the evening when the cafes start lighting their candles. Plus, you can walk to Tivoli Gardens in about ten minutes, which beats dealing with Copenhagen’s pricey taxis.
Suite Life Done Right
The suites here actually feel like luxury apartments rather than hotel rooms — and that’s the whole point. Each room comes with a proper seating area and some have small kitchenettes, which is brilliant if you want to grab fresh pastries from the local bakery for a lazy morning. The beds are ridiculously comfortable (I’m talking about that perfect Scandinavian firmness), and the bathrooms feature organic Guldsmeden products that smell like a Nordic forest. What really impressed me was the attention to detail — heated bathroom floors, blackout curtains that actually work, and those little touches like locally-sourced snacks in the minibar.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast buffet deserves its own paragraph because it’s genuinely excellent. Sure, you’ll find the usual suspects, but they also do this amazing selection of local cheeses, fresh-baked bread, and what might be the best scrambled eggs I’ve had in Copenhagen. The restaurant area overlooks a quiet courtyard, and there’s something deeply satisfying about starting your day there with proper Danish coffee. They’re serious about organic ingredients too — everything from the yogurt to the honey feels thoughtfully sourced.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about Manon Les Suites — it strikes that perfect balance between luxury and livability that’s hard to find. The staff genuinely seems to care (they remembered my coffee preference after one day), and the whole place has this relaxed sophistication that makes you want to extend your stay. The location rating speaks for itself — guests consistently rave about being able to explore Copenhagen on foot while having a peaceful retreat to return to. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Copenhagen trip before you’ve even checked out.

What could be improved: Loved everythingMaja from Iceland – 6 April 2025 (9/10)
We only stayed one night, but we are already planning to come back and stay longer.
Amazing place. Attention to details was unmatched – beautiful room with everything you will ever need.
Very comfortable beds and even tho rooms face the pool it is very quiet.
Staff 15/10 – very professional and super nice. Amazing!!!Alan from United Kingdom – 3 April 2025 (9/10)
Facilities,pool and restaurant are excellent
What could be improved: I thought the bathrooms in the suites were a bit of a let down for a 5 star hotel.
Also the tasting menu was excellent but the main course let it downCindy from Sweden – 1 April 2025 (9/10)
Outstanding, my second time at this hotel. Lovely staff, amazing and tasty breakfast selection, huge suites and of course, the spa/pool is so relaxing and lovely!
I only wish they had more places to hang up wet towels.Lukáš from Czech Republic – 23 March 2025 (9/10)
Great concept, I would say “luxury – hipster” style with great pool serving as a heart of the whole building with rooftop “punk” sauna and steam bath. You have a perfect access to the city especially via bike which can be borrowed at the hotel at your convenience. There is also a superb and spacious fitness center accesible 24/7.
I would recommend it for a couple getaway, I also believe the hotel is adult only which actually make sence according to the concept and facilities.Jackie from United Kingdom – 13 March 2025 (9/10)
Loved the facilities! Gorgeous pool, perfect to come back to after a day in the city, to relax. Also loved the sauna and cold water bucket. Great selection of eco products in the room and some really nice little touches such as a recycled bottle for water.
Adam from Austria – 8 March 2025 (9/10)
An absolute oasis in Copenhagen.
What could be improved: The comfort level in the room was perfect. Felt very cosy.Jessica from United Kingdom – 5 March 2025 (9/10)
Stunning hotel. Loads of great things, including a large room, complimentary items, comfortable robes and slippers, great facilities and lovely staff. Would definitely return
What could be improved: Quite busy in the spa in the evening, which is expected, but was then quiet in the morning with a late check out of 12:00, so should always have a chance to use the cabanas 🙌🏽Sean from Ireland – 24 February 2025 (9/10)
Innovative idea particularly in the urban location.
