Walking up to Nimb Hotel honestly feels like stepping into a fairy tale — and I mean that in the best possible way. This five-star boutique property sits right inside Tivoli Gardens, which is something you don’t fully grasp until you’re actually there. The Moorish-style architecture from 1909 is absolutely stunning, with its ornate towers and intricate details that make you stop and stare. You know what really struck me? The way they’ve preserved all that historical charm while making everything feel completely modern and luxurious inside.

The location is honestly unbeatable — I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Copenhagen, and this spot on Bernstorffsgade is pure gold. You’re literally steps from Central Station (perfect if you’re arriving by train), but more importantly, you’re inside one of the world’s most famous amusement parks. I mean, how often can you say your hotel lobby opens directly into Tivoli? The couples who rave about this place (and there are many) totally get it — there’s something magical about having the gardens as your backyard, especially in the evenings when everything’s lit up.

The Room Experience

Let me tell you about the beds — they’re seriously some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in Europe. The room I stayed in had this perfect blend of Danish design and opulent touches, with rich fabrics and carefully chosen antiques that felt authentic, not staged. The bathrooms are particularly impressive, with marble details and fixtures that actually work properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is). What I loved most was how quiet everything was, despite being in the heart of the city — the soundproofing is excellent, so you get your beauty sleep even when Tivoli’s concerts are happening below.

Dining and Amenities

The breakfast situation here is actually fantastic — they do this beautiful buffet spread with everything from traditional Danish pastries to gluten-free options and vegetarian choices. The continental selection is solid, but honestly, the local specialties are where they shine. There’s also a restaurant on-site that’s worth mentioning, though I’d recommend making reservations well ahead. The service throughout the hotel feels genuinely warm rather than just professionally polite, which makes a real difference when you’re traveling.

  We flew to Copenhagen to elope and we couldn't be happier with Nimb hotel and their services. Pierre, the guest experience manager joined us as a witness for our wedding , took photos, and brought champagne. He went above and beyond and we are so grateful. We ended up eating at The Brasserie two nights in a row we were so impressed with the food. Additionally, it was one of the best hotel gyms we've experienced and the 90 min massages were well worth it.
