STAY Seaport Overview
First Impressions
Walking into STAY Seaport, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The lobby has this clean, Scandinavian aesthetic that feels both modern and welcoming — honestly, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a well-designed four-star property in Copenhagen. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, and I could tell right away that this place takes hospitality seriously. There’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t try too hard to impress but just gets everything right.
Location & Neighborhood
The Østerbro location is actually brilliant if you want to experience Copenhagen like a local rather than just hitting the tourist spots. You’re on Murmanskgade, which sounds intimidating but it’s really just a quiet street that puts you close to the water without the chaos of the city center. I mean, couples absolutely love it here — and I can see why. You can walk to the harbor in minutes, and there are these great little cafes and shops nearby that most tourists never discover. The metro connections are solid too, so getting into central Copenhagen takes maybe 15 minutes when you want the full tourist experience.
The Room
Here’s where STAY Seaport really shines — the beds are genuinely fantastic. I’m usually pretty skeptical when hotels boast about their bedding, but honestly, I slept better here than I have in months. The room itself has that minimalist Danish design that somehow manages to feel cozy rather than cold. Everything you need is there without clutter, and the windows are large enough that you get plenty of natural light. The bathroom is compact but well-designed, with a shower that actually has proper water pressure — you know how hit-or-miss that can be in European hotels.
Dining & Amenities
The breakfast situation is solid, though don’t expect anything too elaborate. It’s that perfect Scandinavian spread with quality ingredients rather than endless buffet options — fresh bread, good coffee, local cheeses, and some hot options that change daily. There’s a small restaurant on-site that serves dinner, and while I didn’t eat there every night, what I had was well-prepared and reasonably priced for Copenhagen standards. The hotel also has a fitness area that’s basic but functional, and parking is available if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably won’t need a car in this location).
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail and the fact that it feels authentically Copenhagen rather than generically international. The staff seems to genuinely care about your experience, and they’re great with local recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly, and after staying here, I totally understand why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real city while still having all the comfort and service you want from a quality hotel. Plus, those beds really are as comfortable as everyone says — sometimes it’s the simple things that make all the difference.
