Walking up to Ultra central location on Larsbjørnsstræde, you’ll immediately understand why this four-star Copenhagen hotel earned its name. I mean, the location really is everything here — you’re literally steps away from the city’s main pedestrian shopping street, Strøget, and honestly, I’ve never stayed anywhere in Copenhagen that puts you this close to everything that matters. The building itself has that classic Danish charm you’d expect, tucked into a narrow cobblestone street that feels authentically Copenhagen without being touristy.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about Larsbjørnsstræde — it’s this quiet little street that somehow connects you to everything without the chaos. You can walk to Nyhavn’s colorful houses in about eight minutes, reach Tivoli Gardens in ten, and the Round Tower is practically around the corner. What really struck me is how the locals actually use this area too; there’s a fantastic little café called The Living Room just down the street where you’ll see more Danes than tourists grabbing their morning coffee. The metro station at Kongens Nytorv is close enough that day trips to places like Malmö become totally doable.

The Room Experience

The rooms at Ultra central location are what I’d call smart Danish design — not flashy, but everything works perfectly. My room had these great blackout curtains (essential during those bright summer nights), and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for a historic Copenhagen building. You know what impressed me most? The soundproofing actually works, which is rare when you’re staying this close to the action. The WiFi is solid throughout, and there are plenty of outlets near the bed — small things that matter when you’re trying to plan your next day of sightseeing.

Exploring from Your Doorstep

This is where Ultra central location really shines. I could walk out the front door and be browsing the shops on Strøget in two minutes, or head the other direction toward the Latin Quarter where all the best vintage shops hide. The hotel sits right between the main tourist areas and the more authentic neighborhoods — you can grab dinner at a tourist-friendly spot near Nyhavn or walk five minutes to find where the university students eat for half the price. Having Illum department store so close was actually pretty handy for picking up those Danish design pieces you can’t find anywhere else.

That 8.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s the kind of place that just works without any drama. Couples especially seem to appreciate how walkable everything is; you can have a romantic dinner in Nyhavn, stroll back through the old city, and never need to think about transportation. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, and they’re genuinely helpful about restaurant recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. It’s not the fanciest hotel in Copenhagen, but when location matters this much — and in a city like Copenhagen, it really does — Ultra central location delivers exactly what it promises.

  location is fantastic. the flat was fine. very basic,but very clean. we appreciated the coffee pods. the bed was comfortable, my son found the sofa bed uncomfortable. the fantastic location means it is noisy. not being able to open the windows meant it was stuffy. I thought it was a bit basic and studenty for the rate.
  
  What could be improved: we found it difficult to locate the flat. the notes I had from booking.com listed the address as Larsbjørnsstræde 15-3, 1455 København, Denmark – we couldn't find it at that address, when I went back to check the booking.com portal it was listed as 8 – so somewhere there is confusion in the address. we also struggled to understand that the front door key is not actually inserted into the lock in the door itself but into a lock on the LH side of the door, on the return wall. weird. I think this could be explained – we arrived late. getting from the airport to the street was easy peasy. finding and getting into the flat was more of a stage one escape room project.

  We love the whole experience. Agree with "ultra central location" you can get by walk to every place in the city. Anja was super nice, polite, and helpful. The apartment is amazing, and warm it has all the facilities you could look for.
  
  What could be improved: We could only say that the stairs are quite small and you don't have an elevator. But it wasn't a problem at all.

  We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment! It is clean and cozy and offers everything one might need. The location is very central and it is easy to get there. There are stores, restaurants and a supermarket on the street. Anja is a great host and the communication was great. We would definitely come back!

  The owner of this inn was kind and understanding. The inn was very comfortable and the furnishings and decorations were tasteful and beautiful. And the area where the inn was located was also very good and I was able to enjoy my stay. We had a wonderful family trip!
