220SQM Designer Apt – Copenhagen City Center – Private Balcony Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to 220SQM Designer Apt – Copenhagen City Center – Private Balcony, you immediately sense you’re in one of Copenhagen’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Hauser Plads isn’t just another address — it’s actually right in the thick of things, where locals grab their morning coffee and tourists stumble upon those perfect Instagram shots. The building itself has that classic Copenhagen charm, and when you reach the first floor, you realize this four-star apartment is going to be something special. I mean, 220 square meters in the city center? That’s practically unheard of here.

The Space Itself

Honestly, the designer really knew what they were doing with this place. The apartment flows beautifully from room to room, with those high ceilings and large windows that Copenhagen apartments are famous for — when they’re done right, anyway. You’ll find yourself gravitating toward that private balcony (which, trust me, is a rare find in this part of the city). The furnishings strike that perfect Scandinavian balance between minimalist and actually comfortable. There’s enough space that you won’t feel like you’re living on top of each other, even if you’re traveling as a group or staying for an extended period.

Location Perks

What I love about this spot is how effortlessly you can explore Copenhagen from here. You’re genuinely walking distance from Nyhavn — you know, those colorful houses everyone posts photos of — but you’re also close enough to Strøget for serious shopping. The recent guests weren’t kidding when they rated the location a 9.6; you can actually walk to most of the major sights without dealing with public transport. Plus, there’s something to be said for staying where couples consistently rave about the romantic atmosphere. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of local cafes and tourist-friendly spots that somehow doesn’t feel overwhelming.

Daily Life Here

Mornings are particularly nice — you can step out onto that balcony with your coffee and watch Copenhagen wake up below. The kitchen is well-equipped enough that you can actually cook if you want to (which is great, considering how expensive dining out can get in Copenhagen). I found myself using it more than I expected, especially after hitting the local markets. The whole setup makes you feel less like a tourist passing through and more like you’re actually living in the city for a while.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.4 rating really reflects what this place does well — it gives you space, style, and an unbeatable location without feeling sterile or overly formal. Couples especially seem to appreciate having room to spread out while still being in the heart of everything. The private balcony becomes your little retreat when the city gets overwhelming, and honestly, there’s something romantic about having your own designer space in one of Europe’s most charming capitals. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Copenhagen trip before you’ve even left.

Reviews of 220SQM Designer Apt – Copenhagen City Center – Private Balcony

  • Esra from Turkey – 9 April 2025 (7/10)

the house was so big and spacious that we loved it, the beds were very comfortable, clean and the location was very good.

What could be improved: It definitely gets incredibly cold in the evenings, even when we went, the heaters were broken, two rooms were completely cold in the evenings, although we pointed it out, they did not send a heater.! There is no elevator, so I took the suitcases down and out by myself. There was no one to help me at the weekend. And very noisy apartment because there is a park in front of the house and there is a repair downstairs..

  • Giordano from Luxembourg – 17 November 2024 (9/10)

The location and the space and decoration of the apartment

What could be improved: There was no toilet paper no kitchen rolls at our arrival . We have been asked to buy it ourselves. After some insisting we have been refunded

  • Elaine from Kuwait – 11 September 2024 (9/10)

Venue was great. Walking distance to everything you need. Would recommend this apartment to friends and family staying in Copenhagen.

What could be improved: The pillow cases in one of the rooms were smelly. I think it was not changed for a while. Some had stains. It would have been great if an international adapter was available for guests. Hopefully, the construction works next door will end soon.

  • Alyn from Ireland – 8 September 2024 (9/10)

The space. Very roomy for the 6 of us.
The property is near to shops and main attractions. Clean and quiet surroundings.

What could be improved: No lift. Difficult when you have loads of luggages specially if they are heavy. The property is in the first floor. We were sweaty after😭
Another one was very limited toilet paper. Imagine for 6 people only 2 rolls for 3 nights stay. In the end we bought 1 pack.
Appreciate very much if they could provide toiletries (shampoo ..)

  • Emma from United Kingdom – 28 August 2024 (7/10)

The location is fantastic, it’s an enormous apartment and we found it extremely comfortable. Liaison with the owner was very easy and quick. You would be hard pushed to find bigger more comfortable bedrooms and living room.

What could be improved: We found the entry lock hard to use, and both caught our finger in the main door. It was strange there was no clothes storage for hanging up items – no wardrobes.

  • Thamsishere from Estonia – 5 April 2024 (9/10)

Location was super. Restaurants, grocery stores and everything was very close. WiFi had good quality. Good place to be for families and groups as well.

What could be improved: There wasn't dish soap to wash dishes. No kitchen cloth for cleaning. It was weird. There was also "marks of living" like some of the towel hooks was broken or nearly broken, floor heating didn't work at the main bathroom, dishwashing machine has had rough times from other clients and some of the chairs in kitchen had loose bolts or something because they was quite wobbly to use etc. So maybe some basic renovation should be done or some little fixing for broken things and it would be 10/10.

  • Garðarsdóttir from Iceland – 24 February 2024 (9/10)

The size of the apartment, beautiful bulding and design plus it is located on the best spot in the city.

  • Nicola from United Kingdom – 1 November 2023 (9/10)

The property is beautifully styled and the location is excellent. It’s a really lovely place to stay, spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable.

What could be improved: There are no hooks to hang anything (coats, towels, clothes) or wardrobe space. The bedroom layout means that you have to go through the master bedroom to access 2 of the rooms. The bathroom marble floor gets wet from the shower which can be dangerous.

  • Bilha from Israel – 30 August 2023 (9/10)

    Perfect location

What could be improved: Some more cleanliness of the shower and more towels would be nice. Please add a mop in order to dry the floor after the shower

  • Carol from Australia – 5 July 2023 (9/10)

    Central location, very spacious, cleanliness

What could be improved: Notes for guests would be helpful, like nearby restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets. Also instructions on how to use the washing machine and dryer. Perhaps a microwave would be handy.
