The location on Vester Søgade is genuinely excellent — I mean, you’re practically in the heart of everything without being stuck in the tourist chaos. Tivoli Gardens is literally across the street, which is pretty magical when it’s lit up at night. Copenhagen Central Station sits just a few minutes’ walk away, making day trips to Malmö or anywhere else ridiculously easy. What I really appreciate is how you can stroll to Nyhavn in about fifteen minutes, but you’re also close to the more local neighborhoods where actual Copenhageners hang out. The Meatpacking District (Kødbyen) is an easy walk too — perfect for those late-night dinner spots that locals actually frequent.

The Room Experience

The rooms embrace that Scandinavian design philosophy without going overboard with it. You’ll find clean lines, quality materials, and everything actually works properly — which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often hotels mess this up. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you won’t be bumping into everything. Large windows let in plenty of that precious Nordic light, and if you’re facing the right direction, you might catch glimpses of Tivoli. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully designed so the space feels adequate rather than cramped.

Breakfast here is solid Scandinavian fare — think quality over flashiness. You’ll find proper Danish pastries, good coffee, and fresh ingredients that don’t feel like they’ve been sitting under heat lamps forever. The restaurant serves decent Nordic-inspired dishes, though honestly, with Copenhagen’s incredible food scene right outside your door, you’ll probably want to explore. What’s nice is that the hotel bar makes a good home base for planning your evening or unwinding after walking around the city all day — it’s got that cozy hygge atmosphere without trying too hard.

  Great location. Modern rooms. Breakfast excellent either a good selection and range. Staff friendly and polite.
  
  What could be improved: There was a big gap where the radiator was right the way across the room under the window which was absolutely full of dust – made us a bit sniffly during the stay.
  The sofa bed leg was unsteady in one corner – certainly wouldn’t be strong enough for more than a child.
  The safe in our room wouldn’t lock. I told reception upon leaving and they assured they would send someone to check it.

  The hotel is near the central train about 5/8 minutes walk depending what door you exit in train station. There is a metro stop 2 minutes walk from hotel. Eurocars rental is across the road from hotel. There restaurants / cafes , bar (Kennedys) across the road or nearby. The city square and main shopping street a 10 minute walk away. The building was very easy to find at night as it lighted up. Breakfast was lovely. Hotel was very bright and well lit
  
  What could be improved: The price we were was extortionate as there was conference on in the city and hotels were charging huge sums to stay.

  The location, the staff and the breakfast were amazing.

  What could be improved: We would have loved a mini fridge. A more solid door on the bathroom entrance. We went for breakfast 3 mornings at different times & every time the food was cold.

  Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice and fresh waffles! The hotel is very clean. The public areas and rooms welcoming in typical Scandinavian style.
  The location was good and close walking distance to the major attractions.
  It was quiet at night. Some street noise when we had the window open but when closed it was very quiet and no inside hotel noise.
  
  What could be improved: Slightly difficult to get the right temperature in the room. Either too hot or cold with the air con.
  The pillows were not good. Lumpy and small.
