I’ve stayed in plenty of Copenhagen hotels, and most tourists end up in the obvious spots, but Østerbro gives you that insider’s view of how the city actually works. Plus, couples seem to absolutely love it here (the 9.7 location rating from recent guests isn’t just a number — it reflects something real).

The Rooms

The accommodations strike that sweet spot between Scandinavian minimalism and actual comfort — which, let me tell you, isn’t as easy to pull off as it sounds. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from some hotel supply catalog. From Michael’s, you can easily walk to some of Copenhagen’s best kept secrets — the kind of cafes and shops that don’t make it into every guidebook but probably should. The neighborhood connects well to the rest of the city, but honestly, you might find yourself wanting to just explore Østerbro itself. There’s Fælledparken nearby if you want some green space, and the local restaurant scene is genuinely impressive. I mean, this is Copenhagen we’re talking about — even the neighborhood spots take food seriously.

  The host met us on arrival and allowed us an early check in, which was fabulous after an early morning flight. The facilities in the property were super and it was extremely well decorated.

  The owner was very hospitable. Took his time to show us where the stuff was. The house was very clean and homey. The location is great. He answered all our questions how to get around Copenhagen and the best places to see.

  Michael the host was extremely helpful and friendly.
  We had to organise a taxi to the cruise terminal for 4 people with bags and he organised it all on the phone for us.
  He made us feel very welcome
  I would highly recommend this location for easy access to the cruise terminal and train station to the city.

  Location is absolutely fantastic, very safe, close to the train station. On arrival there was a big bowl of fruit on the kitchen table, was a very lovely welcome gesture. The whole place is lovely and cosy, absolutely adorable small garden outside, couldn't use it for long because of the rain
