Walking up to Beautiful 2-bedroom on Dag Hammerskjölds Alle, you’ll notice this isn’t your typical Copenhagen hotel — it’s actually a thoughtfully designed apartment that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place. The building sits quietly in Østerbro, one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists are just starting to discover. I mean, when couples are rating a place 9.5 overall, you know something special is happening here. The entrance is understated in that distinctly Danish way, where elegance doesn’t need to announce itself.

Location & Neighborhood

Østerbro is honestly one of my favorite parts of Copenhagen — it’s got this perfect balance of residential calm and urban energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. You’re close enough to the city center that a bike ride (and yes, you’ll want to bike here) gets you to Nyhavn in about 15 minutes, but far enough out that you’ll actually see Danish families going about their daily lives. The recent guest rating of 9.4 for location makes complete sense when you realize you’ve got Fælledparken practically at your doorstep — that’s Copenhagen’s version of Central Park, where locals jog, picnic, and let their kids run wild. There’s also this great morning bakery just two blocks down that does proper Danish pastries, not the tourist versions.

The Space

What strikes you immediately about this four-star accommodation is how it actually feels like a home rather than a hotel room with apartment pretensions. The two bedrooms are genuinely separate spaces — I’ve stayed in plenty of “2-bedroom” places where one room is basically a glorified closet, but that’s not the case here. The living area flows naturally into a kitchen that’s equipped well enough that you could actually cook if you wanted to (though with Copenhagen’s food scene, why would you?). The whole place has this clean, Scandinavian aesthetic that doesn’t feel sterile — there are thoughtful touches like proper reading lights and enough outlets for all your devices.

Daily Life

Mornings here feel different than in a traditional hotel. You can make coffee in your own kitchen while planning the day, or walk to that bakery I mentioned for a proper Danish breakfast experience. The neighborhood comes alive gradually — you’ll see people heading to work on their bikes, kids walking to school, the rhythm of a real Copenhagen morning. Evenings are equally pleasant; Østerbro has some excellent restaurants that haven’t made it into every guidebook yet, plus you’re close enough to the lakes (Søerne) for an after-dinner stroll that feels quintessentially Copenhagen.

The high ratings, especially from couples, make perfect sense once you’ve experienced the place. It’s that rare combination of space, location, and authentic local feel that’s genuinely hard to find in Copenhagen’s competitive accommodation scene. You get the independence of an apartment with the reliability of a well-managed property, plus you’re staying in a neighborhood where you’ll actually interact with Copenhagen rather than just observe it. The fact that recent guests consistently rate the location so highly tells you everything — this isn’t just a place to sleep, it’s a proper base for experiencing the city the way locals do.
