Zoku Copenhagen Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Zoku Copenhagen, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical hotel. The lobby feels more like a co-working space mixed with a trendy café — which, honestly, is exactly what it is. This four-star property sits in the Amager Vest district, and I’ll be straight with you: it’s not in the old town where most tourists end up, but that’s actually part of its charm. The whole vibe screams “local living” rather than “tourist trap,” and the 9.1 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in.
Location & Neighborhood
The location on Amagerfælledvej might look intimidating to pronounce, but it’s surprisingly well-connected to central Copenhagen. You’re basically in a residential area that feels authentically Danish — think bike lanes everywhere, local cafés, and actual Copenhageners going about their daily lives. The metro gets you into the city center in about 15 minutes, and couples seem to really appreciate this setup (they rate the location 8.9, which is pretty impressive). What I love is that you get to experience Copenhagen like a local rather than being stuck in the touristy Nyhavn area where everything costs twice as much.
The Room Experience
The room setup here is quite different from what you’d expect. Zoku calls them “lofts,” and they’re designed for people who want to live rather than just sleep somewhere. You get a proper workspace, a small kitchen area, and — this is clever — modular furniture that you can actually rearrange. The bed sits up on a platform, which gives you more floor space during the day. It’s sort of like staying in a really well-designed studio apartment, and if you’re planning a longer stay or working remotely, this setup is honestly brilliant.
Social Spaces & Dining
The communal areas are where Zoku really shines. There’s this massive living room on the top floor with panoramic views over Copenhagen — perfect for working during the day or having a drink in the evening. The breakfast is continental and buffet-style, nothing fancy but solid quality with local Danish options mixed in. What’s interesting is how the space naturally encourages interaction; you’ll find yourself chatting with other travelers or digital nomads without it feeling forced. The ground floor restaurant serves decent food, though I’d recommend exploring the neighborhood for dinner — there are some fantastic local spots within walking distance.
Why Guests Love It
You know what sets this place apart? It’s designed for how people actually travel today. Whether you’re here for business, extended leisure, or that increasingly common “workation,” Zoku gets it. The parking situation is handled well if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car much in Copenhagen. The staff genuinely seems to care about creating a community feel rather than just processing check-ins and check-outs. It’s not the cheapest option in the city, but for what you get — the space, the location, the overall experience — it feels like good value. Plus, staying here gives you bragging rights about discovering a more authentic side of Copenhagen that most tourists never see.

We felt great at the hotel, the room was stylish and thoughtfully decorated, the staff was very nice and helpful. The location and getting to the center was super easy. When we are in Copenhagen, we will definitely stay again.
What could be improved: It would be helpful to have a larger selection of (larger) pots.Ftouftou from Greece – 1 April 2025 (10/10)

I love how friendly the staff is and the whole vibe of the facility. Relaxing rooms which just feel like you're at home.
I cancelled my previous hotel due to moldy bathroom and overall vibe. Don't save on hotels in Copenhagen i tell You.
