Hotel SP34 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel SP34, you immediately get that this four-star property knows exactly what it’s doing. The lobby has this understated Danish design thing going on — clean lines, warm wood, and just enough personality to feel welcoming without trying too hard. It’s tucked right into Sankt Peders Stræde, which honestly feels like one of those Copenhagen streets that locals actually use rather than just another tourist corridor. The staff greets you with that perfect Scandinavian balance of friendly and professional, and you can tell right away this isn’t going to be one of those cookie-cutter hotel experiences.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally in the heart of Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter, but it doesn’t feel chaotic or overwhelming. You can walk to Strøget (the main shopping street) in about three minutes, and the Round Tower is practically around the corner. What’s really great is that couples seem to absolutely love staying here — they consistently rate the location 9.5 out of 10, and I get why. You’re close enough to everything that matters but on a quieter side street where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over traffic. The old cobblestones and historic buildings make evening strolls feel pretty magical, honestly.
The Rooms
The rooms strike that perfect Scandinavian balance between minimalist and cozy — what the Danes call “hygge,” I suppose. Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, with clean lines and quality materials that actually hold up to scrutiny. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. You know what I appreciate? The rooms aren’t trying to be the biggest or flashiest — they’re just really well-executed spaces that make you want to spend time in them, whether you’re getting ready for a day of sightseeing or winding down with a glass of wine.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast setup here is actually impressive — they’ve got continental options, but they also cater to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free needs without making it feel like an afterthought. It’s buffet-style, which usually makes me a bit nervous, but everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The coffee is proper Danish strong (thank goodness), and there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying multiple nights. I mean, starting your day with good coffee and pastries before heading out to explore Copenhagen’s canals and castles? That’s pretty much the ideal scenario.
Why Guests Love It
Hotel SP34 gets an 8.1 rating because it delivers on the fundamentals without any unnecessary drama. It’s refined and well-run, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or overly formal — just a solid, upscale place to stay in one of Copenhagen’s most walkable neighborhoods. The combination of that fantastic location rating and the overall attention to detail means you’re getting genuine value, not just paying for a fancy name. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend or exploring the city’s design scene, this place gives you a proper base without breaking the bank or overwhelming you with unnecessary bells and whistles.
Copenhagen’s hotels pair greenhouse lounges, cargo bike rentals, and concierge-led tastings through Torvehallerne.

Overall it was a good experience with very helpful staff. I loved the idea that the hotel is supporting runners by providing towels and water by the door.
The room was a bit smaller than I expected but I was told that’s the standard size of the standard room also for the blanket it barely fit me (158 cm height ).
The room is so clean and I’m impressed by the cleanliness of the room.
The location is very central the metro is few minutes walk from the hotel and there are many good restaurants nearby.
The shopping area is 5 minutes by the metro as well.
If you’re looking for a central location that’s a good option to consider.Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 1 April 2025 (8/10)
Excellent location near a couple of Metro stations, and the city centre.
Bed was very comfortable, water was hot, towels white.
Breakfast had plenty choice and organic choices too.
We visited midweek in March and it was quiet in the room so great sleep.
There is a free wine from 5 till 6 and a nightcap from 10 till 11 if you want that.Lili from United Kingdom – 30 March 2025 (9/10)
Loved this hotel! The room was lovely, very clean and bright. It definitely captures the scandi vibe. Really enjoyed the wine hour and thought it was in a great central location, within walking distance to everything. Will definitely be returning.

Especially the breakfast staff is super friendly.
The breakfast is mostly organic and healthy, it makes you feel good at the start of the day.
The wine hour between 5 and 6 pm is very well thought out and creates a nice atmosphere.
What could be improved: There should be better ventilation in the area where we had breakfast. There can be a bad smell of food at the entrance of the area.Marshall from United Kingdom – 19 March 2025 (9/10)

The location of the hotel was amazing and was only a short walk away from most things in the city. We had requested a quiet room and this was granted as we slept so well. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and friendly – we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
