Nobis Hotel Copenhagen, a Member of Design Hotels™ Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Nobis Hotel Copenhagen, a Member of Design Hotels™, you immediately understand why this five-star property has such a devoted following. The lobby feels more like stepping into a sophisticated Danish home than a typical hotel — there’s this warm, understated elegance that’s distinctly Scandinavian. I mean, the design is sleek without being cold, which honestly can be a tricky balance to strike. You know what really caught my attention? The way natural light floods through the space, creating these beautiful shadows that shift throughout the day.
Prime Copenhagen Location
The location on Niels Brocks Gade is absolutely stellar — couples consistently rate it 9.2, and after spending time in Copenhagen, I completely get why. You’re literally steps away from Kongens Nytorv and the colorful Nyhavn district, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist crowds right outside your door. The Royal Theatre is practically next door, and you can easily walk to Strøget for shopping or wander over to the Latin Quarter. What I really appreciated was how you could slip out for an early morning coffee run without navigating through masses of people — it’s that perfect sweet spot between central and peaceful.
The Room Experience
My room had this gorgeous blend of Danish design principles and modern comfort that just worked. The color palette was all muted grays and warm woods, with these thoughtful touches like locally-made ceramics and textiles that felt authentically Copenhagen. The bathroom was particularly impressive — spacious marble surfaces and a rainfall shower that actually had proper water pressure (you’d be surprised how often luxury hotels mess this up). I loved how the windows were large enough to really connect you with the city outside, but the blackout curtains meant you could sleep in if you wanted to.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast buffet deserves its own mention — it’s this beautiful spread of Danish pastries, local cheeses, and perfectly prepared eggs that sets you up right for exploring the city. The restaurant downstairs has become something of a local hotspot, which I actually think adds to the hotel’s charm rather than making it feel overrun. There’s also a cozy bar area where you can grab a proper cocktail after a day of sightseeing. The staff throughout the property strikes that perfect Scandinavian balance of being incredibly helpful without being overly formal or intrusive.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes this place special is how it captures the essence of Copenhagen itself — that effortless combination of style, comfort, and livability. You’re staying somewhere that feels distinctly Danish, not just another international luxury hotel that could be anywhere. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the carefully curated art on the walls to the way the lighting creates different moods throughout the day. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your room and the common areas, not just use them as a base for rushing around the city. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about the whole experience — maybe it’s the intimate scale or the way the design creates these cozy moments throughout the property.

Reviews of Nobis Hotel Copenhagen, a Member of Design Hotels™
Zimbomania from Germany – 9 April 2025 (8/10)
Spectacularly cool designed restaurant, excellent cocktails from the small bar, tasty breakfast and dinner, super-friendly restaurant manager at night. Luxurious bathroom. Staff in general very friendly. No noise from the street with closed windows. All sights within walking distance.
What could be improved: With its dark blue walls, the room was bit unwelcoming (not really "hyggelig"), a different choice of colour would make it more cozy. The wardrobe is too small (even for one person). No space to store travel bags. Room was still not done after lunchtime – something I would expect from a hotel of this category.Alan from Australia – 30 January 2025 (9/10)

the hotel itself is beautiful , it is fairly centrally located, the food is excellent, the style of the rooms is modern Danish and very tasteful. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: I booked a junior suite and it was really a room under the roof with zero views as the walls were slanted. So be specific as to what you get when you book. Also, there were no basic amenities (tea kettle, some cotton swaps) and I had to call reception to get it. Not a big deal, but for a 5 star hotel a bit surprising. Also: the hotel is located on a very big busy street, so make sure you ask for a room that is located away from that. Staff is very junior at reception and they had little to offer when it came to some insider tips as to where to eat and what might be great exhibits – but of course, you can google this yourself – I am benchmarking this with other 5 star hotels I have been to. Clearly, I am spoiled :-).Carmen from Romania – 16 November 2023 (9/10)
